Hell has no sunscreen, and Slacy’s learning that the hard way. The desert burns without mercy, buzz-vultures buzz, and time itself feels like it’s melting. Every step forward is punishment, but somewhere ahead, the heat starts to fade.
Hahaha. Yeah, I have fun writing Slacy. I don’t know why the original idea struck me, but when I went to go develop the character I thought, what would my eldest gen-z son do in this situation if he were 90? What will he be like in the future?
He’s basically a clone of me, so it’s easy to get in his head.
Then I put myself in the world and walk around. Where to go? Random? Flip a coin! Oh, wait… no coins.
I fear Slacy might have too many millennial aphorisms and references, but my son listens to music from the 50s and 70s and basically ignores modern music. He recently discovered the 80s. By the time he’s 90, he’ll finally have heard some gen-z music.
So I think it’s okay if he makes references that are “old”.
Thanks for having me here. I’m enjoying wetting fiction.
The chapters are too short!!
I’m trying to stay around 1,000 words (more like 1,200) to see how they do compared to the TSAs ~2,000-2500 words.
Short chapters for short attention spans, like Stacy’s.
Another great chapter excited to read (listen to) more!
Thanks Javier!
I'm really enjoying this! Dying to know what the hell is going on! 😁❤️
Me too! I mean, what the hell is up with that guy?
such an interesting concept, that the fall of information leads to the fall of fascism. can it happen now, please? LOL great chapter!
Haha. I wish. It’s a bit of a theme here that decentralization is what is resilient enough to survive.
This is crazy. Istg this was so trippy to read through, Slacy is such an idiot I am starting to like him.
lol thanks. He is a bit of an idiot. Give him a break though, he's having a bad day 😂

When writing this, it’s a little like that. What will be nostalgic to someone 70 years from now?
Haha. I’ll leave the “typo”
Haha. Now you know how I feel when reading Blue Chicks and Mine Shaft.
