A new lead pulls Viktor into a forgotten corner of the city, where the remnants of the gang's past may hold the key to unraveling the present. Something about the place brings Chai into sharper focus and shakes something loose from his cloudy memory. But another dead end begins to tarnish Viktor's hope.
Chai..... T-T he pretends to be so nonchalant but is actually carrying so much. This was done nicely, the telling of what the afterlife is like. I like how it was woven into conversation, rather than an info-dump.
Chai's a bit theatrical and put up a front, but he's a pretty deep guy.
Jan and I work stuff like how to present a lot of information without boring people. There needs to be some sort of tension, even when giving information. Dialogue is a great way to do it. Also, Viktor is supposed to be investigating so it seemed like a good fit. Thanks!
When Jan first described it to me I was like 😮. I suggested expanding on that. The idea of static or white noise (everything and nothing) and tuning a signal is woven throughout the ghost lore now.
