Yes. Director mode I think it’s called. It didn’t work well. It picks up the performance but carries over too much of my own voice. My voice is deep so the character’s voice ends up noticeably deeper.

I’m more interested in Eleven Labs V3 which adds performance hints like “[whisper] ‘Be quiet,’ he whispered”. I tried it, but it completely changed how all my characters’ voices sound. It’s only Alpha. I’ll see if it improves.

Hearing how Viktor’s voice became “the voice” in your minds is so cool. Funny how AI tools can become just as emotionally tied to our stories as real people.
Have you tried the voice changer feature on elevenlabs? Where you read it with your own pacing and it converts it to your chosen voice

It is. The voices are pretty convincing sometimes so it wasn’t too hard to connect it with the characters.
